‘The Divine Dance of Balance’
There are two natural energies inside each of us, one feminine and one masculine. The masculine energy is characterised by qualities such as logic, focus, commitment, excitement, manifestation and presence. The feminine qualities are expressed as nurturing, acceptance, meandering, receptivity, creativity and restfulness. If there is an imbalance between them or we don’t allow one of them flow naturally, it becomes very difficult to run our lives in a harmonious and successful way, as we need both to take on the challenge of this life in a loving and purposeful manner. This is the key to solving all other imbalances in the world (violence, poverty, conflict, injustice, ecological devastation, etc).
Balancing the feminine and masculine energies within ourselves and around the world has the potential to bring us into a saner and more sustainable way of living. This is what Frances and Adelina embraced when they initiated the project of dancing on all of the node points where the Mary and Michael line meet in Britain.
The Mary and Michael lines are ley lines (earth energy lines), which weave in and out of each other across southern Britain, from Carn Les Boel in Cornwall to St. Margaret’s Hopton in Norfolk. These lay lines link up Sacred sites such as; St Michaels Mount, Glastonbury, Avebury, Royston Cave’s among many others.
The book, ‘The Sun and the Serpant’ by Hamish Miller and Paul Broadhurst was the main inspiration for Frances and Adelina to engage in a dancing and photography pilgrimage from Spring Equinox 2006 to Auntumn Equinox 2007.
In 2012 the book, ‘The Divine Dance In the Sacred Landscape of Britain‘ was published by Christine Horner of ‘In the garden publishing’. The book was celebrated and launched on 18th May 2013 as part of the Swindon Festival of Literature. The book is mainly photographs and enough words to tell the story in a poetic way.
Soon there will be a delightful photography exhibition in Stroud from the 4th to 10th July 2016 and Frances and Adelina are really looking forward to welcoming and sharing their story of the journey with you ….
Frances Lewis has been teaching Yoga since 2000 and is dedicated to sharing the gifts of Yoga. She is a courageous dancer of truth and wisdom.
Adelina teaches Tantra internationally, offering both private and group workshops. Her passion is to offer people an opportunity to realise their true nature by bringing awareness to the practice of Tantra and ultimately to all aspects of life.
“Adelina’s gift with photography is not only to surprise and delight, but also to include the viewer. She manages to make us feel as if we are there with them participating in the dancing of the Mary and Michael node points and accompanying them on their journey. By capturing the mood of the moment with her careful watchfulness she draws us into their world of balancing the feminine and masculine energies in a deeply personal way. Adelina and Frances have created a unique exploration of the meeting of the Mary and Michael ley lines. The two have worked as one and it shines through in the joyous celebratory book”……(Boo Beaumont)
and soon the exhibition ~ what a joy …..
